2 Del McCoury and the Dixie Pals at the Corinth NY Bluegrass Festival in June, 1981. According to Ronnie McCoury, he was 14 and remembers the festival well because it was his first stage performance with his father's band. The Dixie Pals at the time also included Del's brother Jerry on bass, the late great Sonny Miller on fiddle, and Dick Smith on banjo. The encore "Loggin Man" was requested by our close friend Floyd Scholz who had recently moved to Vermont and was supporting himself as a lumberjack.
